Round the vines offers either 10km or 21km walking or running course, passing through quiet country roads and otherwise inaccessible vineyards. Themed drink stations throughout the event feature live music as well as samples of local wines for those who have a more relaxed approach to the day! It is a fundraiser for Martinborough School.
We created a logo that has a sense of fun, social, approachable and appeals to both of the main target audiences, women 40+ who are in it for the social and the more serious runners. The logo is based on a circle, to go with the round the vines. We used a friendly and fluid script font which has an event feeling. We integrated the vine canes into the type in a clever and playful way to make sure it's clear this event goes through the vineyards as this is part of the events unique proposition.
We supported the logo with an entertaining illustration that conveys that this event has both running and social walking. By illustrating legs we are able to convey this and fun immediately. One set of legs is running, dressed in sneakers and socks. The other is dressed up as a clown, with oversized clown shoes and spotty pants and walking. The illustration powerfully conveys both events in a relatively simple way, which makes for an effective and memorable poster.
We’re thrilled to hear that Round the Vines set a new record of funds raised for the school.
We applied the new branding to posters, banners, billboards, maps, vouchers, social media and website graphics.
